If you are using TurboTax desktop (CD/download) version, you can use the steps here below to manually enter the 1099-B or import.

  • Open the software and click Search Topics at the top of the window
  • Type in 1099-B, select it and click Ok
  • On the Did you sell any investments in 2016 screen, answer Yes
  • Follow prompts through until you see the screen that asks Did you get a 1099-B or a brokerage statement for these sales? and answer Yes
  • The next screen should be Let Us Enter Your Investment Sale Info and on this screen, you can choose to either Import or manually key in your 1099-B
    • If you choose to import, choose Import from my bank or brokerage and then find Edward Jones in that list to choose from. And the next page will have you log in with your account information to do the import

NOTE: If you are using TurboTax Online version of the software, go here How do I add or edit a 1099-B? for the steps on entering your 1099-B
