I do not understand how to do 1099

What kind of 1099? 1099-DIV, 1099-INT, 1099-R, 1099-MISC? something else?

Did you receive on? Or do you need to issue one (forum says you are using self-employed so perhaps you need to issue a 1099-MISC to a contractor)?

What do you mean be "do?" Find where in TT to enter a 1099? Or how to fill it out? Or something else?
