I do not see the transaction type in my 1099-B

Do you mean that you are not familiar with the nature of the investment that was sold?

Or are you referring to the codes A through C for short-term investments and D through F for long-term investments reported on IRS form 8949 Sales and Other Dispositions of Capital Assets?

Or are you referring to something else?

Please clarify.
