I didn't take my required minimum distribution (RMD) in 2020. How do I respond to the 1099-R for my Thrift Savings Plan (TSP) since I didn't receive a 1099-R?

Delete the 1099-R form that 2020 TurboTax transferred in from your 2019 tax file.

When asked if you received a Form 1099-R just answer No and continue.  Or if there is a Form 1099-R entered on the Your 1099-R Entries screen, delete the 1099-R.

Enter 1099-r in the Search box located in the upper right of the program screen. Click on Jump to 1099-R

If an empty form transferred over from last year's taxes...then you just delete that 1099-R form form this year's taxes.....since nothing was distributed.....there is no 1099-R to fill out  (at least not for that particular issuer).
