I did not live with my husband in 2018. I want to file separately. I worked and made around 50k, he received 13k in Social Security Disability. Does he have to file too?

we have a daughter which I will be claiming on my return

I just want to clarify if he needs to file a tax return or not.

Yes he needs to file a tax return.

If his only income was SS and you are NOT itemizing, then no he doesn't need to file because his AGI would be less than the $12,000 standard deduction.

Because you are filing separate 85% of his SS is taxable.  This means, if he received more than $13,000, has other income or if you itemize your deductions, he would need to file a return.

I made 52278 and he made just over 13k (13,032) does he still need to file?
