I did my 2019 taxes and they are pending. I did not enter the information from my 2019 Form 1099-R. What do I do ?

I withdrew from my retirement in .November of 2019.

I did my 2019 taxes and they are pending. I did not enter the information from my 2019 Form 1099-R. What do I do ?

You are required to report your form 1099-R on your tax return and the distribution is taxable.

 

As you have already filed, you have to wait to see if your return is rejected or accepted.

 

If your return is rejected by the IRS, you can add that form 1099-R and correct other errors, then re-file your return.

 

If your return is accepted, you'll need to amend your return. Please note that the amended form will not be ready before mid-February.
