After you enter the 1099-R for the distribution, there are followup questions.  One question asks if you moved the money to another or the same retirement account.  You would say Yes here and then enter the amount .  There are conditions that need to be met for this, though, for example, the money must be returned within 60 days.  If you don't meet that requirement you would not say Yes to the question of moving it to another or the same retirement account.
