I can’t file because of qualified tuition program distribution of 183.00. The check entry said Congress considering law that could benefit me. How long to wait to file?

You can actually remove the 1099-Q from your taxes entirely if all of the distribution was used for qualified expenses and you do not have any taxable distribution to report this year. The IRS does not require you to report the information when it is not taxable.

I would like to know also. I can find no references to any "new law" online about this, so I have no clue what it's belly-aching over. I want to file, but I also don't want to leave $$ on the table or end up owing the vampires.
