I calculated an IRA contribution on my return, but now have decided not to use it. My return is not sent, how to I remove the IRA amounts?

If you use TurboTax Online:

1. Login to your TurboTax Account 
2. Click "Take Me To My Return"
3. Click "Federal" from the left side of your screen
4. Click “Deductions &Credits” on the top
5. Scroll down to “Traditional and Roth IRA Contributions” and click “Edit”
6. Uncheck the IRA on the "Traditional IRA and Roth IRA" screen and click "Continue"
7. Answer "yes" to "Remove Contribution"

If you use TurboTax Download/CD:

1. Open your return
2. Click “Deductions &Credits” on the top
3. Click "I'll choose what to work on"
4. Scroll down to “Traditional and Roth IRA Contributions” and click “Update”
5. Uncheck the IRA on the "Traditional IRA and Roth IRA" screen and click "Continue"
6. Answer "yes" to "Remove Contribution"
