Without any children, your income must be very low, and you must be between ages 25 and 65.
But you do not qualify if you are someone else's dependent.

EIC is calculated two ways: (1) based on earned income (unemployment comp doesn't count), and (2) based on Adjusted Gross Income (unemployment comp does count). You then get the lesser of the two.
So your Earned Income and AGI must both be less than $15,820 if you don't have a qualifying child.
