I believe I do qualify for the EITC but for some reason, Turbotax says I do not. How can I correct this?

According to the IRS website I qualify even if I dont have children because I still meet all the other criteria

Without any children, your income must be very low, and you must be between ages 25 and 65.

But you do not qualify if you are someone else's dependent.

Is your income from working?

Yes, part of it. And the other part from unemployment payment benefits.

EIC is calculated two ways: (1) based on earned income (unemployment comp doesn't count), and (2) based on Adjusted Gross Income (unemployment comp does count).  You then get the lesser of the two.

So your Earned Income and AGI must both be less than $15,820 if you don't have a qualifying child.
