I am trying to add a pension 1099R income that just so happens to be administered by Fidelity. Now Turbotax is asking me questions about an annuity. How do I by-pass?

This is pension income not an annuity or 401K.

The tax software this year...seems to use that "Annuity" statement very loosely across a number of different 1099-R forms.

In a way, your pension is "annuitized" , and the pension administrators have already set up those payments according to IRS rules.

But, be careful if box 2a is lower than box 1 on that form  (but not zero, blank, nor marked "undetermined)
