The SSA-1099 form reports social security income. You report that in the Wages and Income section, then Retirement Plans and Social Security, then Social Security (SSA-1099, RRB-1099.)

Not sure why you are mentioning having a W-9.   Do you mean a W-2?   If you did not work for an employer  in 2025 you can tell the software that you do not have a W-2.   If an old employer transferred over from 2024, you can delete that old employer.

As ofr entering your SSA1099:

Go to Federal> Wages & Income>>Retirement Plans and Social Security  (SSA1099 and 1099RRB) to enter your SSA1099.

If it's asking for an EIN number you are entering it in the wrong place. There is no EIN on social security SSA-1099. Delete it and enter it here,

Enter a SSA-1099, SSA-1099-SM or RRB-1099 under

Federal Taxes (Personal for Home&Business)

Wages and Income

Then scroll down to Retirement Plans and Social Security

Then the second line - Social Security (SSA-1099. RRB-1099) - click the Start or Revisit button

Then keep going, on the next screen be sure to answer Did you live in a Foreign Country? NO. If you are married you need to say No for each spouse.

On the SSA- 1099 entry screen, if you are married there will be 2 columns, one for each spouse. If it doesn't show 2 columns then go back to My Info or Personal and edit the primary spouse to make sure you checked married and filing together.
