I am entering data for 1099-R form and it asks if any was RMD. There is no RMD for this retirement account. RMD is for 401K plans. Help?

just indicate yes it was an RMD and all of it was the RMD.

Once a person reaches age 70.5, that question is asked of most 1099-R forms.

Yes, a pension has an RMD too....the recipient has no control over it, but the Payer's have to make sure the distribution meets the RMD rules...
