I am a retired teacher. I get a 1099-R to record money I receive through my pension plan. This is not aHurricane Distribution, why are they asking me about that!

Just answer NO to this question.

TurboTax has to ask questions to cover all tax situations and has to capture all information to make sure that no tax deduction or credit is missed.

The question about Hurricane distributions is asked because Hurricane victims can withdraw their retirement plans before age 59 1/2 without incurring the early withdrawal penalty.
