How/where do I input the amounts from my SSA-1099 statement?

Here are the steps:

In TurboTax online,

  • Sign into your account, select Pick up where you left off
  • From the upper right menu, select Search and type in SSA-1099 and Enter
  • Select the Jump to ssa-1099
  • Follow prompts

You would receive this form if you received social security benefit including disability in the year of 2020.  If this is the only income you received, you do not need to report it.  If you received other income along with the social security benefit, you would need to report it. However, not all of your social security benefits may be taxable, to understand it's taxability, click here:  Social Security Benefits
