How should a backdoor Roth IRA show on my return ($6,000 non-deductible tradition IRA converted to Roth IRA - $6,002)?

Full distribution is showing in line 4a.  Approximately, 75% of this number shows up in line 4b.  I answered that the conversion went to a Roth IRA in 1099-R area.

If you had a non-zero balance in IRAs when you started all this, you can't do a tax-free Backdoor Roth.

SO, you will have a taxable amount . see your Form 8606.

Also, Congress changed the law so you can't undo what you did.
