How much can a self employed individual deduct for his personal SEP IRA contribution?

The maximum contribution cannot exceed the lessor of 25% of total compensation of either:  $55,000 for 2018.

TurboTax will compute the maximum allowed or you can adjust it to a smaller amount. Here's how;

  • Business
  • Less Common Business Situations
  • Self-employed Retirement
  • Maximize
