It depends. Please read this IRS website in regards to the Retirement Savings Contribution credit. First read to see if you are eligible or not. Next check the AGI limits toward the bottom of the document to see if the credit was limited because of AGI considerations.

Thank you! I appreciate the response and the link. Evidently, because I am a grad student (but ALSO work full-time and defer to my 401k) I am not eligible to take the credit. That's a raw deal, but it is what it is. It would be nice if Turbo Tax spelled out the reason WHY I was not give the credit, but my husband was.
