How do I know if there was a required RMD and how much it was? I don't see it on any of my documents

Where can I find the "required RMD" on my Morgan Stanley retirement account?

Your required minimum withdrawal for 2025 is based on your age and the account balance as of December 31, 2024.  There is a formula you can use to calculate it yourself, but the best place to get the RMD amount is to ask your broker.

Morgan Stanley says they provide the information in their quarterly statements.

You can ask your broker if there is a Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) for your retirement account if you do not see that information on the documents you received from your financial institution.

Here is a TurboTax article that may be helpful in determining whether or not you have an RMD this year:

What are required minimum distributions (RMD)?
