If your husband passed away in 2017, you need to do a final return which can be filed jointly with you. You need to make sure to check the box, that someone "passed away" when TurboTax asks in the personal section.

If your husband passed away prior to 2017 and you did a final return for the year he passed then it needs to be included on his estate tax return. If he did not have an estate opened then there is no way to report it.
