If this is a grantor trust (i.e., you are considered to be an "owner" of the trust assets), then you can file a Form 1041 using one of the optional methods listed at the link below and issue a Grantor Information Statement. Otherwise, you will have to file a Form 1041 and, most likely, related K-1(s).
