How do I edit the "payer" state on my 1099R? I've entered IN but during the final review it shows VA for some reason and won't allow me to edit??

There could be a mismatch between the two-letter state code (IN) and the Zip Code on your 1099-R.

Type '1099r' in the Search window and 'Jump to 1099r'. At the Summary page, Edit the entry that is causing the error.

When the 1099-R entry screen opens, make sure the State Code and Zip Code are correct (and match each other).
