How can I enter my mother's correct SSA-1099 data? Turbo Tax Premium keeps incorrectly defaulting to my SSA-1099 amount.

I e-filed my taxes a couple of weeks ago electronically through this program, and am now trying to do my mother's.

If you are using TurboTax Online, you cannot prepare and file a tax return for another person using an existing TurboTax account. You'll need to create a new account, distinct from the account you used to file the first return.

If you are using TurboTax Desktop, you can start a new return by clicking on Start a new return on the Welcome page of TurboTax.

Are you trying to use the same account for your mom that was used for your own tax return?

When you use online TurboTax software you get one return per fee.

Each return needs its own email, account and user ID.   If you use the same account and user ID for a second return, the second one overwrites the first return and it is lost forever.

Oh heavens NO...if you are using your own ONLINE account and are overwriting your data...you may have destroyed your own tax file.

I hope you had already downloaded a PDF of your own tax file back when you e-filed yours...if not, your original may be gone.  You should try to recreate it in case you need it.....but hard to know if it's too late.
