Instead...go back to that 1099-R and Edit it.
Check box 14 for the state withholding $$... and box 15 to make sure the state letters are correct.
As long as those two entries are correct...you are getting the state credit for the state withholding.
But check all the other boxes against your paper form too.

Also, use the tools menu to check your Federal and state summary amount...in case, for some strange reason, your state income is waaaay off. (higher than it should be)
