Hi there, for my retirement accounts, I only have 5498 forms, not 1099s. Does that mean I don't need to file anything for these accounts?

Correct, unless you contributed to an IRA or Roth IRA.  Form 5498 only reports what you contributed and what the year-end balance was.

You will only receive a 1099-R if you took a distribution (or did a rollover) from any of your retirement accounts.

@TurboTaxKenH thanks so much! If I did a rollover and didn't receive a 1099-R does that mean I don't owe taxes?

No problem!  You would NOT owe taxes on a rollover.  But you should receive a 1099-R for the rollover and you should report it.  TurboTax will ask the rollover question(s).  I would wait for the 1099-R...

@TurboTaxKenH thanks for the help! I'll see if I've missed it in the mail, but it's not online with the other forms which is odd. Thanks again!
