Hi I have AGI of 113,600 for 2018. I have a pension at work. Can/should I open a Roth IRA for me? Can I open a Spousal IRA for my non-working spouse and deduct it?

you have a whole year to think about a Roth now. I recommend wait until Dec 31 to know exactly what your income will be. If your spouse has no income and you have enough income to cover both contributions you can put the money into her IRA for her

Ok, my income is pretty stable year over year. I guess more from a deductibility perspective. Is a Roth preferable for me and a traditional spouse IRA for her?
