Hello. When i filed my taxes for 2020 i forgot that i would be getting a 1099-G from my unemployment benefits. Can i still get the money i withheld from my benefits?

If you already filed your tax return, the taxes withheld may be added to your refund since the IRS may have a record of it. If not, you can prepare an amended return in TurboTax to get the tax withheld refunded to you.

You will see option to prepare an amended return in TurboTax on your home page when you log in.

After your return has been fully processed you will need to amend it and enter the 1099G.  But wait for your return to be processed first.   Then prepare a Form 1040X to send it with the additional income.  The first $10,200 is now not taxable, so you might be able to get some of the tax withheld back as a refund.
