If you are still having trouble...delete that 1099-R form and re-enter it manually. Don't upload a picture or PDF file (those commonly go wrong) . If you can't import it directly from a financial provider....use the manual entry procedure...."Enter Another Way"......and...."Type it in Myself"
Thanks for the advice, I arrived at that solution myself. But I think it’s a poor solution, i.e. it’s the response I would have expected from Microsoft in the 90’s. It is a feature. But it is broken.
