Hi,
I can't get the Waiver Explanation Statement to save on Form 5329-T, Part IX, Waiver of Tax Smart Worksheet.
All of the numbers are populating correctly, and I have the dollar amount for which I'm requesting a waiver in the field. Just can't get the Waiver Explanation Statement to save. The text line shows red font when I'm typing and, when I close it and reopen it, the shaded in red with no text.
Any recommendations on how to get it to save? Or is this a glitch in the software?

Switch out of Forms Mode and go back to Step-by-Step.
Thank you for the advice. I followed the instructions to Other Tax Situations / Additional Tax..., but when clicking "Update," nothing happens. It does not advance to follow-on questions, it stays on the same page with no action.
This is a known defect in TurboTax and has been forwarded to the development team. They are working on this, but there is no news regarding when the issue will be resolved.
