Federal review forced me to fill in the portion of net income after March 27 on Schedule SE, deferral. This creates an error on 1040 Line 11. I don't want to defer. Help?

Tax year 2020. Review required that I enter directly into the field for portion of net income from March 27-Dec 31, 2020 on deferral eligibility worksheet. This resulted in the error "SE Wks Line 11 is too large" (it is zero, automatically calculated and filled). I don't need to defer tax payment anyway. How can I resolve this?

You must cancel your election to defer your self-employment taxes. This election might have been accidently selected when you were going through your federal interview screens.

Please follow these steps in TurboTax to change your election:

1. Open your return.
2. Click Federal on the left hand side. 
3. Click Deductions and Credits on the top of the page.
4. On the page Tax Breaks, scroll down until you see Tax relief related to Covid-19.
5. Click Revisit next to Self-employment tax deferral. 
6. Answer no to the question Do you want more time to pay self-employment taxes?

Thanks for your reply! Your instructions make sense but didn't resolve the issue for me. I was able to delete the zero that the system auto-filled on the 1040 worksheet, and that resolved the error.
