Federal income tax withheld on Line 17, Form 1040 is higher than the federal income tax withheld on W-2, and no 1099 or other source of income tax withheld. It's wrong.

Please go back to the Wages & Income section and review the entry for the W-2. Check box 2.

If you imported the W-2, please delete it and re-enter it manually.

Federal income tax withheld on Line 17, Form 1040 is higher than the federal income tax withheld on W-2, and no 1099 or other source of income tax withheld. It's wrong.

Did you pay any estimates? Those sometimes end up on line 17 if you entered them in the wrong place. Is the wages on line 1 right? Maybe you entered a W2 twice?
