Entering a monthly pension. Why is it asking if this is a required distribution (RMD)?

Just indicate that it was an RMD...and that all f it was an RMD...and/or you received all of the RMD for that 1099-R.

Your pension, with regular payments made to you, does have an RMD requirement....but its all been predetermined for you by the people who administer it.
