Does my north carolina state employee retirement count as on of these credits

One of WHAT credits?

Anything entered as a retirement contribution on your W-2 in box 12 is included automatically. Nothing else to do.

Anything that shows as a contribution in box 14 of the W-2 is also take care of automatically, but cannot be used as part of the Retirement Savings Contribution Credit.
