Sounds like that was for your first RMD for 2018?

Don’t forget to also take your 2019 RMD by Dec 31.  So you need to take 2 RMD this year.  Then next January 2020 you will get the 1099R for it.  They will probably only send you one 1099R for both RMDs.

You need to report such RMD on your 2019 tax return, the year it was received.

This is when you reach age 70 1/2 in 2018 and have until April 2019 to receive your first RMD.
