Do I use the monthly amount on my cell phone bill or total for the year?

If you are using your cell phone as a business expense you will use the total expense for the year, however, you should also make a percentage adjustment for personal use.  If you have a dedicated phone only for the business you can take 100%.  If you do not you must estimate the personal usage and calculate what the business use cost is.
