Yes, if you didn't work and didn't get a W-2 then you do not need to enter anything in the W-2 section.
If you received retirement distribution on a 1099-R you will have to enter it here:
- Login to your TurboTax Account
- Click on the Search box on the top and type “1099-R”
- Click on “Jump to 1099-R”
If you receive Social Security benefit SSA-1099 then enter them here:
- Login to your TurboTax Account
- Click on the Search box on the top and type “Social security income”
- Click on “Jump to Social security income”
- Answer "Yes" to the question "Did you receive Social Security benefits?" and click “Continue”
