Disabled mother died April 2016. Only received SS. Cashed in MFS investment for funeral expenses prior to her death for $12,222.60. Do I file separately for her?

She lived with me for 11 years and I claimed her as an exempton.  How do I file for her now with the MFS cashin?

Your mother's personal representative or executor should file a final return for her.
Is that you?

If yes, then if you're using Online make sure you have a separate account for each taxpayer.
(CD/Download will save money).

Then visit www.irs.gov for a copy of Pub 559 Survivors, Executors, and Administrators
