During migration from Quickbooks Self-Employed to Turbotax, the instructions are to enter 1099 info regardless if the income was already recorded on Quickbooks. However

…now I am showing duplicate income. What is the best action to take: (A) Remove the 1099-MISC income  from Turbotax or (B) adjust my imported Quickbooks income by subtracting the total income entered from my 1099-MISC?

Deduct the 1099 MISC income from your Quickbooks income amount. This way the 1099 MISC forms will be reported on your return, as the IRS will be aware that the forms were issued to you and will be checking that the income is included on your return.
