What do you mean by "file my 1099G later?" ALL of your 2021 income has to be entered on the SAME tax return---no filing it piece by piece. Wait for the 1099G and file correctly one time.
If you file a tax return that does not contain all your income, you would later have to file an amended return. The IRS is so backlogged that amended returns are taking up to a year to process. If adding your unemployment causes you to owe more tax, you may pay a penalty for late payment. If it results in an additional refund, it may be a year before you receive it. I always recommend filing one correct tax return one time, even if you have to wait for some of your information.
