Can I add additional income to my return. I neglected to add a 1099 to my business

If you have already filed your return, you will need to file an amendment to include the additional income. You should wait until your return has been accepted and processed by the IRS before you file an amendment.

If you have not filed your return yet, you can go back into the Business section and add the 1099 misc.


• Select Business tab and Continue
• Select I’ll Choose what to work on
• Select update next to Business Income and Expenses,
• Select edit next to your business
• Scroll down to the Business Income section and select Update
• Select Start or Update next to 1099-MISC Income
