Can form 5329 be filled out through online? or do i need to go to the desk top version

After complete the Form 1099-R there will be a series of screens asking question based on what you entered.  One of the screens will be for exceptions to the 10% early withdrawal penalty.  This will allow you to enter the exception and include Form 5329 with your tax return to be e-filed.

The desktop version keeps saying this form isnt available yet, but its showing on the online version. When will it be available on the desktop version?

I can't give you a date certain that Form 5329 will be available on TurboTax Desktop; however, I suggest you check again tomorrow.  Be sure to update your software by clicking on the "Online" menu option in the upper left of your screen, and then clicking on "Check for Updates"
