Can both wife and husband contribute 5500+5500 for Roth IRA?
We are filing jointly. Can we contribute each 5500.00, so the total contribution is 11000 for 2013 if we are within the limits for full contribution?

Both husband and wife can contribute $5,500 for each person if they are earning at least $11,000 in taxable compensation. The combined contributions can be as much as $11,000.
