I had the same question, but I found there's a specific category called "Unemployment and paid family leave (1099-G)". Under this category the numbers from my EDD matched up with turbo tax's format.
Hope this helps. 🙂
I am trying to enter in the return to work bonus from this year during the pandemic - I am on the unemployment 1099-G page but the boxes do not match for the return to work bonus. Have you had any luck with that particular 1099- G form?
@juliekhachtel They may be using a non-standard 1099-G form as mentioned by @macuser_22 above. Try to match the descriptions on your 1099-G to the box descriptions in TurboTax.
Bonuses are often reported on a 1099-Misc or on your W-2, if your employer paid the bonus.
However, if a governmental agency paid the bonus on a 1099-G, it may be included in the total unemployment in Box 1.
