Box 10a - State on form 1099-G does not offer "Tennessee" as an option, and will not "approve" the form when I select continue. What can I do?

The answer to your question depends on whether you had any state taxes withheld from your unemployment.  If there is a number reported for state taxes withheld, then you cannot skip boxes 10a, 10b, or 11.

If you did not have any state taxes withheld, then leave all the boxes blank (boxes 10a, 10b, and 11).  This includes the dropdown box for the state name.

If anything is entered in box 10a, 10b, or 11, then all of them must be filled in to avoid an error condition causing you to review the entry.
