You do not enter Social Security benefits as a 1099R. You are in the wrong place in the software.

Go to Federal> Wages & Income>>Retirement Plans and Social Security (SSA1099 and 1099RRB) to enter your SSA1099.

There should be a spot for EACH spouse with your names next to them to enter the information from your SSA1099's.
