Both boxes in 2B are empty on my 1099R form, but tax program won't continue when I leave both blank. What do I do?

Place a checkmark in the box for "Taxable Amount not Determined".  It will not affect your return in any way as long as all other entries are made per the form.

If you are using a 1099-R that carried over from last year, and using the "Online" software...you can "X" and then un-"X" each checkbox, and that should clear the issue.

1) Scroll to the bottom of the page...click on <Back>

2)  On the prior page...click on <Continue>

That should clear the page requiring entries for every box and checkbox....and you can make entries in only the places you need to.
