At the point where Turbotax asks was the 1099-R from a 403(b) Plan I can choose Yes or No, it's from another type of qualified retirement plan. Neither is correct.

My plan is a non qualified plan, but do not have that option.

Are you using TurboTax Online and have code 7D in box 7? if yes then please try this workaround from dmertz:

 

For code 7D, omit the code 7 and enter only the code D.

 

 

If you are using TurboTax Desktop the issue with code 7D has been fixed. Please make sure you updated your software. You might have to delete and reenter the Form 1099-R.
