As of 01/18/2025 my TT Desktop Home and Business does not accept Social Security, and many types of income (interest). TT error message "sign up to be notified..... "

I can enter SS into my Windows Home & Buisness program.  If you click on Visit All by Retirement Plans and SS you do get the message This section will be ready soon.    But you can click on the next line down by Social Security to enter SS. I never use the Visit All button.

And interest is working ok.  Have you updated your program?  Go up to Online-Check for Updates.

Thanks Volvo Girl and others....did hit the "visit" all and no luck on my desktop version.

I want to respect everyone's time and hope Thursday AM the 22nd will update most functions.

I am able to enter business income and expenses, so those are working.

So instead of hitting Visit All did you go down 1 row to the next box for Social Security?  I said do not use Visit All.

Enter Social Security under

Federal Taxes (or Personal in Home & Business)

Wages and Income

Then scroll down to Retirement Plans and Social Security

Then the second line - Social Security (SSA-1099. RRB-1099) - click the Start or Revisit  button

On Jan 27, 2026 with TT Home and Business DESKTOP ; Cannot enter Social Security Income

Software "DO LOOPS"; Tried direct enter directly on the SS line, and Update.

Three days ago it said "available soon".

HOWEVER, a work around is to go to View Forms, open1040, and go to line #6 (SS income). The box will be zero but click on it, and follow the +, you will see the input worksheet.  It did tally for both me and my wife.

Do not know why "step by step", or "I'll enter itself" do not work.   Been entering SS income over 5 years that way with no problem until now.

Tried to contact TT, via the search function and via tel, but did not work.
