As my 1st yr RMD, I'm making an IRA withdrawal in Mar 2018 for tax year 2017. Since I don't have a 1099-R, where to I enter the withdrawal or RMD amount for year 2017?

Seems like the only place to enter RMD is under a 1099-R.

Since (I just turned 70 1/2 in 2017) and I'm allowed to make my RMD from an IRA withdrawal Mar 2018 for tax year 2017.... where do I enter RMD taxable amount, since I don't have a 1099-R to use?

Since you did not take any of your RMD in 2017 and 2017 was your first RMD year, you have nothing to report on your 2017 tax return regarding your RMD.  You'll report both your March 2018 distribution of the RMD for 2017 and your distribution of your RMD for 2018 on your 2018 tax return.  You'll likely receive a single 2018 Form 1099-R reporting the sum of all of the distributions you make in 2018.

I am in the same situation.  Since the 2017 distribution must be taken by April, 2018 and since there will probably be only one 1099-R for the 2017 and 2018 distributions, how will I show that the first withdrawal was done by April, 2018?

If 2017 is your first RMD year but you are not taking the RMD until 2018, nothing regarding the RMD needs to be reported on your 2017 tax return.  If 2017 TurboTax asks, simply indicate that you received all of your RMD for 2017 or that no RMD was required for 2017.  This will prevent TurboTax from generating any Form 5329 reporting a penalty for an excess accumulation.
