After you enter the information on your 1099-R in Federal taxes, there will be several follow-up questions.  There is one that asks “Where Is This Distribution From?”  You may have checked  “Active duty military retirement” in error.

Go into your account, open your Federal return, and go to Wages and Income to check this.
